Twelve Predictions for 2012

With all the problems the world is facing, it can be unsettling to the mind.  Today, I will share with you twelve predictions that will certainly be true.  They are one person’s opinion, but I believe they will be accurate.

 

1.      The Bible will still have all the answers.

 

James 1:5

 

5       If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God,…

 

Romans 11:33 KJV

 

33     O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

 

The Bible gives us basic principles for living:

 

         •  Spiritual life/God – Psalm 46:10

 

         •  Marital life/Spouse – Ephesians 5:21-33

 

         •  Parental life/Children – Ephesians 6:1

 

         •  Work life/Co-workers – Ephesians 6:5-9

 

         •  Social life/Neighbor – Matthew2:12

 

2.      Prayer will be the most powerful thing on earth.

 

John 14:13-14 KJV

 

13     And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14     If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

 

James 5:16

 

         The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

 

3.      The Holy Spirit will still move.

 

Romans 8:13 NKJV

 

13     For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

 

4.      God will still inhabit the praises of His people.

 

Hebrews 13:15 NIV

 

15     Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise — the fruit of lips that confess his name.

 

5.      There will still be God-anointed preaching.

 

2 Timothy 4:2 NIV

 

2       Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season:…”

 

6.      God will still provide for the needs of His people.

 

Philippians 4:19 NKJV

 

19     But my God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

 

7.      God still wants you to be thankful.

 

1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV

 

18     In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

 

8.      There will still be room at the cross.

 

John 3:16

 

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish by have eternal life.

 

9.      Jesus will still love you.

 

Ephesians 3:19

 

And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.

 

Romans 8:38-39

 

I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,……will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in hrist Jesus our Lord.

 

10.    Giving to God will still bring lasting joy.

 

Acts 20:35

 

Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, it is more blessed to give than to receive.

 

11.    God will still hate sin.

 

Ecclesiastes 7:20

 

For there is not a just man upon the earth, that does good, and does not sin.

 

Romans 3:23

 

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

 

12.    The promise of Christ’s return is still good.

 

John 14:1-3 NKJV

 

1       "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

2       In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3       And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

 

You will notice that December 21 (Mayan calendar) is not mentioned among these predictions.
